Their grounds maintenance division provides an all year round professional tailored service. The company as a whole employ up to 450.
I am currently on their behalf looking for a Contracts Manager for their grounds maintenance division. Reporting into senior management the purpose of the role is to manage a portfolio of sites mainly for one housing association client. There are circa 700 sites to oversee that extend from Kent in the East into metropolitan Kent (Sidcup, Bexley etc) and Lewisham (where the heaviest proliferation of the sites are) across to Croydon and Twickenham with a few sites as far south as Guildford. So in a nutshell the area is Rochester to the M3. The role will involve the man management of a team that includes Supervisors, Admin staff and team members. On a day to day basis the role will involve site inspections, liaising with clients such as property managers and dealing with operational issues. On a monthly basis there will be a strategy meeting with the client at their head office with bi-monthly meetings at each of the clients four regional offices.
Candidates for the role should have strong relationship building and maintenance skill with strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should also have excellent staff management, recruitment, and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines whilst delivering excellent client service. For this role candidates will ideally reside in the South London area or further south into Surrey but at least south of the Thames. Candidates from other soft service environments will be considered as well as candidates from a grounds maintenance background.
